Mission

The PATRIOT Act (2001) — 342 pages!

The REAL ID Act (2005) — What's this I'm hearing about retina scans?!

The Port Security Act (2006) — Online Gambling Ban tacked onto it!

The First 100 Hours (2007) — Ram, bam, thank you ma'am!

Who the hell knows what's in those pieces of legislation...until now?

Back in the old days before there were rule suspensions with regards to legislation, the U.S. Congress went by what was in Jefferson's Manual — basically reading each bill three times verbatim before passage.

Had the U.S. Congress been following that procedure even throughout the 21st century, I don't think we would be having so much pork-barrel spending and any other unknown bits of law that affect ordinary Americans.

That's why I've chosen myself to be the self-designated Third Clerk to the U.S. Congress.
